Hockey is about so much more than a game. Every ticket to the game is about more than a seat in the stands. Kids Up Front is The Ticket Charity and Kids Up Front Vancouver is facing off against 5 other chapters from across Canada to win a fundraising challenge. Hockey fans know that January hosts Hockey Day in Canada which focuses on community, connection, and building the next generation of fans. On January 17 the Vancouver Canucks will be on home ice and facing the Edmonton Oilers and yes! Edmonton is one of our competing KUF cities. On January 18 the Vancouver Giants are hosting the Prince George Cougars and the Abbotsford Canucks are playing several games that week! Kids Up Front Vancouver is using the day as an opportunity to spotlight the impact of our work, grow awareness for The Ticket Charity, and raise critical funds needed to help our programs thrive.

By rallying hockey fans of all ages, the goal is to raise awareness for our mission which is to give kids and youth facing challenges access to events and experiences that would otherwise go unused and which they would not otherwise have access to without the generosity of ticket donors, vendors and monthly supporters.
As part of a friendly national challenge, Kids Up Front Vancouver is aiming to be the first region to reach $5,000, earning bragging rights as the 2026 Hockey Day Challenge Champion, but more importantly to help hurting kids and youth gain access to enriching experiences. Any funds raised beyond that goal will help create even more opportunities for kids and youth to access meaningful experiences in 2026.
